The Vintners’ Company Helping City Harvest Feed London in a Time of Crisis
As part of the fabric of London, we celebrate the jubilee and City Harvest’s mission, ‘Rescuing Food, People, & Planet’. Every day our vans rescue nutritious surplus food, enough food for over 1.1 million meals a month, delivering it for free to 350+ charities across London, avoiding waste and committed to the human right to food.
“The Vintners’ Company is delighted to support City Harvest, whose exceptional work helps those most in need and also reduces food waste.”
– Master Vintner Ann Hill.
Central Street Cookery School at St Luke’s community centre, EC1, offers low cost cooking classes to children and families who wouldn’t have access to such opportunities and provides much needed food for families via the community fridge. Our vans ensure their charities recieve free food deliveries, allowing them to offer guests meals, cooking classes, and food parcels. By giving charitie such as St Luke’s free food, we allow charities to stretch their already small budgets that much further.

City Harvest Green Plaques: These trademark green plaques were originally created to thank donors, acknowledging the outcome of their partnership with City Harvest to support London, and presented as physical wall plaques, as a pastiche of blue plaques.
The new City Harvest vans feature green plaques as sponsorship badges, placed on each side and the back of the van.
