Historic pan livery collaboration for London

Livery Kitchen Initiative

In 2020, The Livery Kitchen Initiative (LKI) launched early in the Covid-19 pandemic. This initiative utilised livery kitchens to prepare meals for the NHS and vulnerable communities in East London.

Livery Food Initiative

In 2022, following an event where its members discussed working collaboratively to create more impact, the Livery Charity Chairs Group (LCCG) established a three-year programme, the Livery Food Initiative (LFI), to address food poverty across London.

The LFI has involved participation from 72 Livery Companies and Guilds who have collectively provided funding to support City Harvest.

• 2023: £190,000 raised for a van to deliver free food to vulnerable London communities.

• 2024-25: £270,000 raised for a 7.5 tonne truck to collect surplus fresh food from further afield.

• 2025: £120,000 pledged to support City Harvest’s New Covent Garden Market site in collecting surplus produce reached with LFI hoping to reach a total of £140,000. In total, £600,000 over three years.
