An unstoppable force for good
City Harvest London is proud to appoint Sarah Calcutt as its new CEO, she will be joining the highly motivated team who are making a huge impact in the capital and beyond.
Sarah will work closely with founders, Laura Winningham, OBE, and Stephen Winningham to maximise growth and impact of the City Harvest mission. Leading an incredibly strong team, board, and Food Council, Sarah will increase the amount of free nourishing meals distributed to those unable to afford to eat.
Already closely aligned with City Harvest, Sarah is a proactive member of the City Harvest Food Council, and ambassador for the charity.
Sarah is a respected Food Sector leader, part of the 6th generation of her family involved in food and farming. With a successful career centred in U.K. food and sustainability, hunger-related Public Policy issues have always been very close to her heart.
“I feel honoured to lead this important organisation, from my work on the City Harvest Food Council I understand the importance of our mission and our need to grow. The City Harvest mission has never been more important. At a time when CAB reports that they are referring 750 people a day in London to food banks, City Harvest is needed more than ever. Our team will work even harder to ensure school children thrive not just survive, and the hundreds of thousands unable to afford or access nutritious food, are fed.”
